Last time we showed some of the action and results from Islamorada back country fishing charters to the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Let’s take a look at some reports from the Flamingo area of Florida Bay and the Everglades.
On March 4, 2020 we actually boated and released 82 redfish, and kept three slot-sized fish, for a total of 85 by about 10:55 am. Then we moved out to the Gulf to try for mackerel and snapper.
We have been catching a lot of redfish slot size or bigger.
On March 21, 2020 we encountered a red-hot snook bite, landing 69 snook (all released of course) ranging from small and medium to some lunkers.
